Community events are a great reminder of how small actions can add up to a big impact. Skylift Garage Doors – Raleigh was proud to sponsor the 2025 Fall Paper Shredding Event in Wake Forest, and the turnout from local residents was incredible.
Over the course of the event, 549 vehicles came through the shredding line, bringing boxes and bags filled with documents ready to be safely destroyed and recycled. By the end of the day, the event successfully recycled approximately 24,287 pounds of paper—a huge win for both data security and environmental responsibility.
Paper shredding events like this one help families and local businesses safely dispose of sensitive documents such as financial records, old tax paperwork, and personal files. Instead of ending up in a landfill, those materials are securely shredded and recycled, keeping private information protected while reducing waste.
